Former CRADLE OF FILTH Guitarist's New Band Preparing To Enter Studio
April 3, 2008Former CRADLE OF FILTH guitarist James McIroy who left the band in 2005 has formed a new project. The as-yet-unnamed group has issued the following update:
"Well, it is coming to pass that we've decided to finally get a little recording together of some of the tunes lying about, of which four at most should get done, just a little taster really, and also a kind of 'here's what we're all about' representation to hand out to people that may be interested. In aid of this, we've gone and chosen four tracks out of the 10 we have with finished rough vocals to go off and polish, and then get sounding good. We're also planning to get this done this-next month, so it's all getting to a point of excitement!
"In keeping, the tracks that look like they'll be making the cut are as usual all cryptically titled and really don't give much away, so I [James] may as well reveal that so far the tracks in contention (with their working titles) are:
* 'God is a Dog'
* 'Heaven Shall Burn'
* 'Hairy Fruit Dog'
* 'Sashimi'
"Other tracks, with their working titles are as follows, again, cryptic enough to really not mean much (Sorry, but even with song titles it'd probably be fairly cryptic anyway!): 'Epic', 'Oppenheimer', 'Early (Stockholm Syndrome)', 'Machines (Red)', 'Black Oath', 'TK'.
"All of them are substantially metal and fast, and as a band we've kind of been stuck finding a distinct label for it, which I can only presume is a good thing!
"Am looking forward to this, and we're also getting closer to getting a logo for the bandname, and will be maybe working on completing another 1-3 tracks to bring it up to anything between 10-13 in total that we can go off and stick on one of those shiny spinning discs that noone seems to buy anymore!
"Hope the wait isn't being too long, but then again, I am as impatient as anyone else may be out there!"
